Moultrie, Georgia – Edith Oneida Folsom, 94, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at PruittHealth – Magnolia Manor, surrounded by her loving family.
Graveside rites will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with Bishop Rickey Wells officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 AM, Saturday, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
Born November 8, 1930, in Coffee, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Joe Wells and Leila Mae Stubbs Wells.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Felton Folsom, Sr.; and siblings,
Lucille Wells Barnes, Verona V. Wells Shirah, J.W. Wells, Alton Wells, Edward Eugene Wells and Christine Trevena.
She retired from Queen Carpet, was a master at crochet and quilting and loved to share her works and loved to stay busy. She loved keeping her yard immaculate, listening to Gospel music and enjoyed fellowship with friends and family. She had very high expectations for her children and was very talented at cooking and canning.
Survivors include her children, Elaine Shelton, Guy Felton Folsom, Jr. and wife, Jerri Conway, Wendell Thomas Folsom and wife, Pilorihna and Alva Paul Folsom and wife, Cherie; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
