Edith Louise Foreman

Edith Louise Foreman, aged 88, was a beloved soul born on September 26, 1937, in the serene surroundings of Virginia Beach, Virginia, where she also peacefully passed away on March 5, 2026, after courageously battling a long illness. Throughout her journey on earth, Edith inspired all who knew her with her resilience, grace, and exceptional spirit.

A remarkable life led by example, Edith was the proud Manager at NEX Dam Neck up until her retirement, where she dedicated herself to excellence with integrity and care. Her passions extended beyond her work; she possessed a natural talent for gardening, a keen eye for interior decorating, and an exceptional gift for cooking divine meals that brought joy to her family and friends.

Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence as she dedicated countless years as a devoted member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, attending diligently until her health no longer allowed her presence. Edith's nurturing heart prompted her active involvement in the Daisy Chain Charity & Social Club, where she spread kindness and uplifted those in need.

As much as she was known for her professional and community contributions, Edith's true legacy lies in her role as a loving wife, mother, and dear friend. Her gentle touch, empathy, and unwavering support brought warmth into the lives of everyone she encountered. Edith's kind and loving spirit was a guiding light to all.

She is preceded in death by her cherished husband, Jasper Foreman, Sr.; her parents, David and Francis (née Johnson) Foreman; and her dearly loved sons, Jasper, Jr. and Anthony.

Left to honor her memory is her devoted daughter, Tegie; her sons, Klicka and Shawn (Dallas); her treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her beloved sister, Mary; daughter-in-law, Maria and a host of loving cousins, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives she enriched.

Services to celebrate Edith's extraordinary life will commence with a viewing from 11 am to 12 pm on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive in Virginia Beach. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life, with interment taking place at 3 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens on Virginia Beach Blvd. in Norfolk, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the charity of your choice in Edith's name.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we take solace in knowing that Heaven has gained another angel. We rejoice in the promise that we will see our beloved Edith again, and until that day, we shall cherish the profound impact she left upon us all.
