Kathryn Ann Weeks

Kathryn Ann (Bell) Weeks, 69, of Gloucester Point, VA, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born in Richmond on March 1, 1957, she was the daughter of Lloyd D. and Ann E. Bell. She was a graduate of J. R Tucker High School. During her life Kathy lived in Montana, California, Washington, and Michigan before returning to Virginia in 2018.

Everyone who knew Kathy knew her love of animals, and she cared for many throughout her life. She especially loved those that most of us do not...snakes, lizards, and spiders. Her empathy for her animal friends was steadfast. Kathy's curiosity and wonder about the natural world made her amazed by colors and patterns in things like opals, slices of stone from the heart of the earth, seashells, butterfly wings, and orchids.

She leaves behind her brother Douglas Bell and wife Cathy, son Ewan Kristofer Drayer, partner Peg Franklin, and many other relatives and friends. The family especially thanks friends and caregivers Jamey, Whitney, and Daiyanti for their loving care during the last several years.
