Edith 'Edie' Hales passed peacefully July 17, 2025 at Billings Clinic with family at her side. Edie was born January 18, 1938 to George "Curly" and Alberta Kukuchka. She was raised a tough ranch kid with siblings Georgia "Dode" and Albert "Aubie". Moving from Arizona to Wyoming where she would spend her entire life. The loves of her life were anything outdoors and her precious puppy Lily. Edie married Lee Hales at their favorite place at the ranch north of Cody in 1970 and they spent 35 wonderful years together until his passing in 2005. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Dode (Bama) Carden, brother Aub (Judy) Kukuchka and step daughter Jo (Tiny) Canfield. She is survived by her children Andi (Terry Kintzi) Kramer, Cheryl (Kevin) Miller and Rob (Tami Lloyd) Kramer. Grandchildren Jamie (Ty) Barhaug and Clint Canfield. Great grandsons Quincy and Devon Barhaug and special friends who called her Mom, Beau and Sheryl Mosdell and family. There will be a graveside service on July 24 at 10:00 am at Riverside Cemetery in Cody, Wyoming. Ballard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
