Edith "Edie," (nee Stokes) age 87, on November 2, 2025, of Glenolden, PA.
She was a crossing guard in Darby borough; also, known as the dancing crossing guard. She was loved by all of the kids. The Daily Times did an article about her. She then went to a car dealership and worked there for many years and was loved by all. She worked full time up to the day before her surgery at the age of 85.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends
Predeceased by her husband, James Horan, her grandson, Shane Hansen, Sr., her parents, Amelia and James Stokes, and her siblings.
Survived by her children, James Horan, Jr. (Annie), Denise Hansen (Chris), Marie Camilli, Maureen Crist (Fran), Edie Farina (John) (Tommy and Hoppy), Michele (Scarlett and Addie), and Amelia (John), her grandchildren, Jimmy III, Danny, Liam, Meghan, Anthony, Damien, Elise, Chad, Katie, Paul, and Ben, her great-grandchildren, Brianna, Izzy, Shane, Jr., Brynlee, Paisley, and Kayce, and her sister, Gracie Hatton.
Relatives & friends are invited to her Viewing, Wednesday evening, November 5th 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the DAnjolell-Barone Memorial Home of Wallingford, 908 S. Providence Rd., Wallingford, PA 19086. On Thursday morning, November 6th 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM followed by her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM ALL IN CHURCH at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 1 Fatima Dr, Secane, PA 19018. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
