Obituary
Edith Myrle Elmore Lines, 98, of Richland Springs, Texas, passed away peacefully in Kerrville, Texas on June 19, 2025.
She was born at Brady Valley in Concho County, Texas, to William James and Willie Marie Elmore on June 7, 1927.
Edith graduated from Brackenridge High School in San Antonio in 1944. Following high school, she graduated from business college and later beautician school.
She worked in the Sears and Roebuck corporate office in Dallas as a bookkeeper for 25 years. A few years after retirement, she moved to her family home outside of Richland Springs. Edith was a member of the Eastern Star in San Saba #0191.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Marie and William James Elmore; her husband, Richard Lines; and two children, Clifton (Cliff) Lacy and Roberta (Skipper) Lacy.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Lacy Sellars of Dallas, Texas and son, Hugh Benton Lacy and wife Sue of Kerrville, Texas; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, John and wife Sotheary, Lucien and wife Jennifer, Noaa, Chyene, Dakota, Curtis and wife Rachel, Brandon and wife Sarabeth; and ten great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Richland Springs Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made to Cherokee Home for Children or the charity of your choice.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at Peterson Hospice. The nurses and CNAs are amazing.
