Edith Jenkins Lumpkin

Edith Jenkins Lumpkin, age 96 of Yorktown, died on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Edith was born on March 28, 1929, to the late Ernest and Mary Hogge Jenkins. She worked as a Supervisor of the Supply Division of the Naval Weapons Station. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Riley Lumpkin. She is survived by her children, David Haywood (Betty), Nancy Renninger (Ed), and Joanne Mann. Grandchildren Catherine Haywood, Elizabeth Cross, and great-granddaughter Helena Haywood also survives her. A graveside service, officiated by David Hampton, will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Gloucester Point Cemetery, beginning at 12:00 pm. Services under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home.
