Edith Macchi

Edith (Buck) Macchi, 92, of Hopedale, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026 at home. She was the wife of the late John P. Macchi, and mother of the late John Macchi Jr. Born September 22, 1933 in Boston, Massachusetts she was the daughter of the late, Frederick and Hilda (Nelson) Buck.

For many years Edith worked for the Avon Company, she enjoyed decorating at home, reading, going to the beach, her daughter's dog, angie. She loved her family and admired spending time with them.

She leaves her children, Donna Briggs of Hopedale, Robert Macchi of Douglas, two brothers, Leo Buck of Ashland, Frederick Buck of Florida, seven grandchildren, Jason Macchi of Maine, Brandy Hart of Woonsocket, R.I., Erik Macchi of Austria, Germany, Heather Macchi of Worcester, MA, Meaghan Kaufman of Texas, Robert Briggs of Hopedale, Valeria Junlei of Hopedale. Edith was the sister of the late, Shirley Cleaves, Jean McGilvary, Martha Peacock, Elsi Mercury.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 11:00 am at Saint Mary's Church, 77 Mendon Street, Uxbridge.

Burial will be private.
