Edith Osiol Obituary

Edith M. (Schott) Osiol, 91, wife of the late Joseph Osiol, of Mont Clare, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022 in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Red Hill, she was a daughter of the late Elva H. (Sacks) and Charles S. Schott.
A 1949 graduate of Phoenixville High School, Edith spent much of the early years of her marriage raising her children and maintaining her household. She had been employed for 25 years at West Pharmaceuticals on West Bridge Street and Route 113 in Phoenixville until her retirement in the mid 1980's.
Edith liked to travel with her sisters and enjoyed cruising. She also enjoyed her vacation to Germany and the occasional trip to the casino. Along with her husband, who enjoyed gardening, she enjoyed canning food. Edith loved spending time with her sisters on Sunday get togethers, especially enjoying the conversation, tea and goodies.
Edith is survived by her children: Michael (Carol) Osiol, of East Coventry Township, Teresa (Joe) Pilny, of Royersford, Patricia Osiol, of Mont Clare and Suzanne (Craig) Collins, of Spring City; grandchildren: Erin (David) Cooper, Chari (Gabe) Marosfalvi, Adam (Sarah) Osiol, Scott (Jill) Osiol, and Ryan and Tyler Collins; and great-grandchildren: Kayla and Kristina Marosfalvi, Aiden M. and Emily H. Osiol and Meadow Collins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by children: Maureen and Chuck Osio; sisters: Mimi Carbo and Jackie Bontempo; and half-brother: Clyde Noel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 11:00 am, at St. Ann Chapel, 604 S. Main Street, Phoenixville. Officiating will be the Rev. John J. Newns. Interment will follow in the St. Ann Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:30 - 10:45 am at the Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in Edith's name to Ann's Heart, 35 Hall Street, Suite 301, Phoenixville, PA 19460, www.AnnsHeart.org/donate.
