Edith Marie Chang Nu Linares Pike, lovingly known as "Emmy" to her friends and family passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2026. She was 32 years old.

Emmy was born on December 20, 1993 in Wuhu, China, and at 9 months old moved to Rochester, New York with her adopted parents Edie and Chris Linares. Emmy had a joyful childhood surrounded by family and friends in Pittsford, New York. She attended Pittsford Sutherland High School and graduated from St John Fisher University with a B.S. and M.B.A. in Accounting. In 2018 Emmy moved to New York City pursuing her career with Bonadio Group and two weeks later met the love of her life Jonathan "Jonny" Pike. Emmy and Jonny were married in Rochester, New York in 2023.

Emmy was known for her bright smile, infectious laugh, and rare ability to make everyone feel welcome. She was deeply devoted to her family and friends, maintaining close and meaningful connections no matter the distance. She shared an especially loving and unbreakable bond with her mother, Edie, who was her greatest source of comfort and strength. Emmy also held a special place in her heart for her cousins, her niece, and her entire extended family, appreciating every moment they spent together.

Emmy taught everyone around her how to love selflessly, with an open heart and unwavering kindness. Her way in the world is a guiding light that will help to navigate this devastating loss.

She is survived by her husband Jonny Pike; her mother Edie Linares; in-laws, Dawn and Seth Pike; her 16 cousins; 5 aunts/uncles; brother and sister in-law and niece. She is predeceased by her father Chris Linares and grandparent's Edith D. Murphy and Henry W. Williams, Jr.

I knew Emmy only briefly but that was enough to know how wonderful of a person she was. She would call me her Birthday Buddy when I would see her as we were both born on the same day/year. Rest Easy friend
