Edith L. Shepherd

Edith (Edie) Shepherd left this world peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2024, surrounded by her family after a long illness. She was born in White Plains NY on October 4, 1949, to Lillian Squillante-Jimison and Joseph Alfred Jimison.
After graduating from White Plains High School she married and began creating her family that would become the center and focus of her life. Her love story with her husband Dennis T. Shepherd began 49 years ago and they were team ensuring their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were always their priority and knew that they were their pride and joy.
She was predeceased by her parents, brother James Jimison, and grandson John Torrisi. Edith leaves behind her husband Dennis Shepherd, children Charlene (David) Sanders, Paul (Kayci) Pritchard, and Stacy (Jovan) Taswell, grandchildren William and Amanda McGarry, Joseph Sanders, Saige and Shepherd Crowell, Lathan and Dior Taswell, Tia Dubray, Madison and Camryn Wert, Jadyn Pritchard, and Viviana and Autumn Cappiello, great grandchildren Richard, Matthew, Skyylynn and Gage Bingham, Lucy Lautenschlager, Jackson Brooks, Jameson Winston, and Joszefina Thomas, siblings Joseph (Suzie) Jimison, Lillian (James) Murray, and Shawn Jimison Sr., in addition to numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, and lifelong friends (Barbara) that filled her heart and made her life complete.
A quiet little lady of few words, whose presence alone inflated a room. She was an unshakable pillar, the rock of her family. Despite her tiny size, her strength was immeasurable, comparable of a true warrior. Blessed were those fortunate to have her in their lives. Her guiding light will always shine on us. A love that strong cannot ever be severed no matter time or space. She loved unconditionally without judgement and always said she loved us more. There are no words to accurately describe the void her loss leaves her loved ones.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday, June 29 from 2pm to 4pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A service will follow at 4pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation in her memory to the charity of your choice.
