"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadth me beside the still waters."
It was pleasing to Edith's body and soul after overcoming so many illnesses in order to continue life with family and friends, to close her eyes and rest from labor; to look towards sunset and slip into rest knowing at the close of the day she would be in the presence of God. On Saturday, June 8, 2024, holding her daughter Kimberly and son-in- law, Markkey hands, Edith Gilmore Simpson departed this life at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital in

Edith held several jobs until she found the one that brought lots of devoted friends at Clover Yarns, Inc. in
Clover, Virginia. She was employed 26 years until her health started to decline. Edith's passion was opening up her home and serving food to family and friends.
