Sandra West Boswell fell asleep in Jesus on January 26, 2026. She was born November
13, 1952 to Otis Garnett West and Pauline Louise West of Clarksville, Virginia. Growing up
as the youngest of three children in a stable farming family, she learned the lessons of
family values, trustworthiness, and dedication. She married her high school sweetheart,
Thomas Boswell (Tommy), in 1971. Then, while raising their four children, she earned a
Masters of Education at Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia. She was a career
educator with Mecklenburg County Public Schools and Prince Edward County Public
Schools. Her life of service to both her career and her family were exemplary. Known as
"Bobbie Bee" to her grandchildren, she was an ever-constant source of love and selfless
dedication to their well-being. Sandra was a much-loved sister-in-Christ and member at
Berea Christadelphian Chapel, North View, Virginia.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas, sons Matthew, John Isaac
(Diana), Joseph (Jenna), daughter Naomi (Steve), grandchildren Elena Boro-Boswell,
Gatlin Boswell, Daniel Boswell, and Ayla Boswell, sister Barbara Owen, sister-in-law Diane
West, and many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. Sandra was
preceded in death by her parents Otis and Pauline, brother Ronald, brother-in-law William
Owen, and sister-in-law Carol Boswell.
A memorial graveside service is planned for Saturday, February 14 th , 1:00PM, at Berea
Christadelphian Chapel, 19735 Highway 47, North View, Virginia. After the service friends
and family are invited to visit at the home of John and Becky Laben, 405 Scotts
Crossroads, Chase City, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Meal-a-Day, a Christadelphian
Charity, at the following address:
