Edith Louise Smith

Edith Louise Smith, age 79, of Milburn, Oklahoma, passed away on May 28, 2024 in Ada Oklahoma. She was born on February 24, 1945, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late Gerald and Mary Burgett.
Edith had a life-long career in nursing, dedicating 32 years of service at the Johnston County Memorial Hospital. Her commitment to nursing was unwavering, balancing her career with her roles as a mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her sons, Danny Smith of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, and Royce Willard of Milburn, Oklahoma. Edith will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jessica Nichole, Abbigail Lea, Tanner R, Zachary Cole, Seth, Dustin, and great-grandchildren Jamison, Tyler, and Anole.
Edith was a Great Lady who loved her family dearly. She graduated from Killeen High School and went on to further her education at Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas. She worshipped at the Church of Christ.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm in the Emet Cemetery to honor and celebrate Edith's life.
Edith's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
