It is with great sadness that the family of Edith Marie Thames announce her passing. On Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 12:50 A.M., Heaven gained its greatest angel. She had 5 generations of family with her. Edith was 87 years old, an only child born on September 23, 1937, to Jack and Ruth Anderson.
She had 3 children of her own, Charlotte Sampson, Rhonda Farhat and Kory Thames. She also had 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren that she loved so very much.
Edith graduated high school from Carter Riverside in 1954. After that she had many adventures in her life including being women's state championship archery winner. She retired from Champion parts after more than 30 years of service. Her favorite past times included cooking, saving every animal that she came in contact with that needed help. Loved watching any sports, and writing in her journals. She was a woman that wrote down every part of her life. Kept sentimental items for decades, and wrote down every major player and score for every sport. She had a silly personality, always trying to make you laugh no matter the situation. Had an unwavering faith in the lord, and a strong dedication to her family. She will forever be in our hearts.
