Edmond E Boatwright

Mr. Edmond E. Boatwright, a beloved farmer from Glen Flora, TX, passed away on October 15, 2024, at the age of 92. He was known for his dedication to his land and passion for farming. Mr. Boatwright, a veteran of the Army, was born on August 9, 1932, to the late Louis Boatwright and Stella Flisowski Boatwright.
Throughout his life, Mr. Boatwright found joy in the simple pleasures. He adored spending time with his wife, Mary, whom he met during a high school newspaper interview. Their shared interests in deer hunting, fishing, and dancing to country music brought them immense happiness.
A graduate of Crescent High School, Mr. Boatwright's commitment to his work as a farmer was unmatched. He was known for his dedication to his land and passion for farming. His diligence and hard work left a lasting impact on the community he cherished. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Charles Boatwright, Jr and nephew, Louis Charles “Charlie” Boatwright, III.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Evelyn Boatwright of Glen Flora and his sister Flossie Blair. Along with multiple nieces and nephews, extended family and a community of farmers.
Funeral services for Mr. Edmond E. Boatwright will be held at Wharton Funeral Home on Saturday, October 19, 2024. The visitation will begin at 9:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 am. A burial ceremony will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Tim Krenek, Robert Spitzmiller, Benny Goodman, Clarence “Bouncy” Cerny, Kenny “Bubba” Blair and Joe Teague. Honorary pallbearers include Patrick Wearden, Dale McCrohan, Al, Cerny, Gilberto Lopez, Colton Pierce, Edward Guajardo, Jesse Garcia, Jimmy Alford and Glen Emshoff.
