Edmund Eggert Obituary
Of Barker, NY was husband of the late Violet Neal Eggert and Barbara Ingram Eggert. He
entered into rest Friday, January 23, 2026, in Lockport Rehab. He was born November 11, 1932,
the son of the late Lester and Florence Maerten Eggert. Edmund served his country in the US
Navy. He lived most of his life in Barker, NY. He opened his business, Eddy's Barber Shop, in
1956 and retired in 1992. He was member of Barker Lions Club, Lockport Glee Club, Lockport
Choral, American Legion Post and was an Exempt member of Barker Fire Company. He was
talented in woodworking, loved golf, was an avid skier and skied the European Alps many times.
He was an energetic, outgoing person who loved people. Father of Coleen (Lowell) Shaver of
Syracuse and Bruce Eggert. Grandfather of Jared (Lena) Shaver and Alyssa (Dan) Jessop. Great
grandfather of Trey Shaver. Brother of the late James and Donald Eggert, Ruth Wells and Karen.
No prior visitation. A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Somerset
Cemetery.
