Jeffery Lee Scott Eggert

Jeffery Lee Scott Eggert passed away leaving behind a legacy of dedication, service, and kindness. He proudly served 12 years in the United States Army, demonstrating unwavering commitment to his country and fellow soldiers. After his military career, Jeffery devoted 22 years to Oak Farms Dairy, where he was known for his hard work, reliability, and friendly spirit.

Above all, Jeffery's greatest accomplishment in life was his beloved children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He cherished his family, taking immense pride in their achievements and the joy, they brought him. His passion for service extended beyond his professional life, impacting everyone who knew him. Jeffery will be remembered for his honorable character, sense of humor, and the lasting friendships he forged throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and colleagues.

He was preceded by his parents Richard and Margaret Eggert

Jeffery is survived by his wife of 35 years Janie Gallegos-Eggert; son Michael Lee Young, Jr.; brother Shawn; sisters Kim and Lisa; grandchildren Eric James Curry, Michael Lee Young, III, Maria Ann Young, Steven Lee Young; great-grandchildren Melody Grace Young, Adelynn Mae Curry, Isaac James Curry, Noah Faith Boatman, and Domenico Gallegos Eggert.

Services for Jeffery are Tuesday, March 10, 2026, with a visitation at 9:30 AM followed by the reciting of the rosary at 10:30 AM and his mass at 11:00 AM all at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Jourdanton, Texas. Interment will follow at 2:15 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, in San Antonio, Texas.
