Edmundo Fernandez peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, February 14, 2026. He was born on July 19, 1947, in El Mulato, Ojinaga.
Edmundo was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His life was rooted in his faith, and he found great joy in praising Jesus. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, grilling, and spending time outdoors. Some of his happiest moments were simple ones—running daily errands with his grandchildren by his side or enjoying cherished date nights with his beloved wife, Irma.
Edmundo was a man who deeply valued family. He loved being surrounded by his children and grandchildren and leaves behind countless memories filled with laughter, love, and guidance.
He is preceded in death by his son, Carlos Fernandez; his parents, Ildefonso Fernandez and Irene Quiroz; and his brother, Mario Fernandez.
He is survived by his loving wife, Irma Fernandez; his daughter, Luci Armendariz, and her husband, Sergio; his son, Manuel Fernandez, and his wife, Roxlyn; his seven grandchildren—Carlos Fernandez; Genesis, Brisais, and Seth Armendariz; Zebastian, Orion, and Oyuki Fernandez; his great-grandson, Leonardo Fernandez; as well as four brothers and two sisters.
Edmundo will forever be remembered for his strong fear of God, his unwavering faith, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on through those he loved and the lives he touched.
