Edna DeFrancesco Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John J. Bryers Funeral Home - Willow Grove on Jan. 11, 2026.
Edna Dolores (Kerr) DeFrancesco entered into rest on January 10th 2026 after a painful battle with Parkinsonism. She was 75 years young, born July 19th 1950 in Philadelphia, PA. She was surrounded by family in her final moments at Saint Joseph's Manor where she resided since the Summer of 2023. Edna took comfort to having care at the manor because she retired there as a CNA specialist a few years prior due to the mystery of her disease-causing balance issues. Most of her life she enjoyed each day to the fullest prior to 2020; She enjoyed beach vacations, cruises, helping others and being with family & friends.

She attended Holy Child Grade School and graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School in 1968. She made lifelong friends everywhere she went. She worked at Perfect Photo and Sears in Willow Grove, Pa. She had a strong sense of community and enjoyed helping to work at the election polls for local government.

She moved to Horsham, PA from Olney Avenue in Philadelphia with her fiancé and childhood sweetheart, Frederick DeFrancesco. They got married October 19th 1974 and her mom, Mary Kerr joined them in the suburbs where they started a family having their only daughter, Christina.

Edna was preceded in death by her cousin Chrissy and George, her cousin Robert Stevenson and Emily Stevenson Franczak. She will also join her loving mother, Mary Kerr who passed away in 1988 and father Joseph Kerr who passed when Edna was only 6 years old.

Edna leaves behind her adoring husband, Frederick DeFrancesco, devoted daughter Christina Haber and her husband Christopher Haber as well as her grandchildren who were her best friends, Joseph, Frederick and Louis Haber. She was a proud Aunt to Amanda Wozniak and Jennifer Macchione.

Family and friends will be received at Saint Catherine of Siena Parish in Horsham for visitation at 10 am on January 16th, followed by a Spiritual Mass at 11 am. We will celebrate Edna and her life at lunch after mass. In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to the altar fund in the name of Edna DeFrancesco to Saint Catherine of Siena Parish.
