Edna Norine Ellen, age 75, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on October 23, 2025. She was born on October 25, 1949, in Denison, Texas, to Norville (Biggen) James Spradlin and Faye Ruth (Finley) Spradlin.
Edna is survived by her children: James (Daren) Shepherd and wife Nikki of Tecumseh, OK; Ronda Thomas and husband Jeremy of Shawnee, OK; Tawnya Hardimon and husband Otha (Sysco) of Shawnee, OK; and Yancy Shepherd and wife Amber of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by her sister Aneta Denise Thorne of Edmond, OK; nephew Jeremy Thorne and partner Jennifer of Chesapeake, VA; Marner to sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; and one great-nephew. She also leaves behind a “daughter of the heart,” Stacia Jordan, and partner Billy of Bethel Acres, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her partner in life, Pete Monk.
Edna’s legacy of love will continue through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory in their hearts forever. The family will hold a private service in her honor. She will be deeply missed.
