Funeral service for Edna Faye Smith Carden 86, of Anniston, will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Brother David Lipscomb and Brother Rusty Stephens will be officiating the service. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Following the chapel service burial will take place in Munford Memorial Cemetery.
Faye passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Glen Carden; parents, Floyd Anderson Smith Sr. and Frances Jacks Smith; brother, Floyd Anderson Smith Jr.
Left to cherish the memory of Faye are her children, Steve Smith (Camellia), Tammy Sellers (Glenn), and Scott Carden (Wendy); grandchildren, Jill, Danielle, Katie, Lydia (Victoria), Jesse (Cheyanne), Timothy (Marissa), Cody, and Jacob (Natilee); great grandchildren, Josh, Gracee, Austin, Evan, Beau Allen, Lorelei, Palmer, Grayson, Colton, Emersyn, Dakota, and Bryleigh; brother, Thomas Smith; nieces and nephews, Geoff, Gina, Andy, and Cale.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Timothy Kidd, Cody Carden, Jacob Carden, Jesse Sellers, Josh Turley, and Tyler Moore.
Mrs. Carden was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord. She loved gardening, sewing, fishing, and making ceramics. She was an avid reader. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved her family dearly. She will always be loved, forever be missed and remembered.
