Edward Wilborn Gearhart Jr.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Edward Wilborn Gearhart Jr., 79, of Anniston will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until time of the service. Burial will take place in Anniston Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Gearhart passed away on November 12, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Nane Lu Gearhart; sisters, Menetta Nunnery, Ann Doyal, and Muriel Gearhart; and granddaughter, Keaten Beam.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Lila Turner Gearhart; daughters, Mendy Gearhart (Stacy Chaffin) and Kristi Gearhart Burgess (Garrett) grandchildren, Landry Wright (Megan), Brock Wright (Katlin), Logan Wright (Carley), Drennen Beam (Journey Spears), Carson Wright (Madelyn), Easton Wright and Garrett Burgess II; great grandchildren, Greyson Landry Wright, Lillie James Wright, and Evie Jansen Wright; sister, Nancy Daugherty; and several nieces and nephews.
Edward was a member of 1st United Methodist Church of Saks. He was a United States Marine and served the country in Vietnam. After his service in the marines, he was the HR Director at CM Offray and the Vice President of Lee Brass. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved to go bowling and golfing in his spare time. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and loved his family. He will forever be missed.
His grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.
