Funeral service for Mary Katurah "Kay" Jones, 72, of Anniston, will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Greenbrier Road Baptist Church at 12:00 PM. Pastor Keith Screws will be officiating. Burial will follow the service in Forestlawn Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday night at the church from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
Mrs. Jones passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Emory Hospital in Atlanta. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Bentley; and parents, Carl and Mary Jones.
She leaves behind her children, Dia Webb (Michael) and Ben Bentley (Dana); grandchildren, Bentley Bean, Braelyn Bean, Addie Webb, Raelyn Webb, Justice Webb, Wrig Webb, and Janna Bentley; one great granddaughter, O'Daya Bentley; sister, Brenda Jones; special niece who was like a daughter, Ericka Laymon (Rod); special nephew who was like a son, Shayne Kelley (Kim); special nephew who was like a grandson, Kaden Goodwin.
Ms. Kay was a member of Greenbrier Road Baptist church and loved to sing in church choir. She enjoyed sewing, helping with the girl scouts, and was known as her family seamstress. Her greatest love and past time was spending time with her family, hosting family events, cheering on her grandchildren, and the Wellborn Panthers at sporting events. She will be deeply missed.
Pallbearers will be Kaden Goodwin, Brayden Dempsey, Parker Dempsey, Zach Johnson, Aaron Dempsey, Justice Webb, and Wrig Webb.
