Edna Fite "Loretta" Fryman

Edna "Loretta" Fite Fryman, 92, of Cynthiana, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Cedar Ridge Health Campus. She was born on July 2, 1933, to the late Yancy Elbert and Mary Lyons Fite.

On November 1, 1951, she married Ermon "Joe" Fryman, who preceded her in death in 2022. Loretta, as she preferred to be called, was retired from the 3M company. She was a charter member of the Oakwood Baptist Church. She was a lifetime volunteer with multiple organizations including the VFW Auxiliary, KY Literacy commission, Hospice and Mathers Johnson activities program. She was a Girl Scout leader and Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed fishing with her husband and spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. She had a vibrant personality and thoroughly enjoyed a robust game of euchre.

Loretta is survived by two daughters: Rhonda (Gayle) Moore of Williamstown and Vicki (Glen) Whitaker of North Port, FL and one son Steve (Lori) Fryman, Ft. Wayne, IN; sister Nettie Linkenhoker, Roanoke, VA; eight grandchildren, Tim Moore, Aaron Moore and Eric Moore, Alecia Pace, Matthew Whitaker and Bobbie Jo Harrison; Lauren Fryman, Joseph Fryman; and 25 great-grandchildren: Teagan, Lexie, Chris, Mark and Jaxon Moore, Caden, Maleiyah and Lincoln Moore, Brock, Jagger and Evie Moore, Knox, Rhett, Wyatt Mae and Beau Pace, David and Deacon Whitaker, Elijah and Pearl Loretta Harrison, Ciaran, Liara, Elena and Maric Fryman, Nola and Max Dee. Special friends Walden and Lois Pridemore are also left behind.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Ricky; brothers Gilbert, Melvin and Roy Fite; as well as sisters Helen Gillespie, Beulah Mae Bell, Elizabeth McCord and Ruby Paul.

Services for Loretta will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Ware Funeral Home, with visitation just prior from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Matthew Whitaker, her grandson, will lead services, and burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
