Edna (Eddy) Mae Hoppe, age 84 of Smithville Ohio, passed away at Cleveland Clinic Foundation Hospital in Cleveland OH on Sunday, June 8,2025.
Edna was born in Cobden, IL on September 25,1940 to Marion and Belle Shelton Horn.
Edna was a vibrant spiritual person who loved healthy living, nature and travel. She loved to cook and garden. She was especially fond of yellow roses and hummingbirds and of course all her family.
Edna is preceded in death by parents Marian and Belle Horn, husband Conrad Hoppe of CA. 3 brothers James, Terry, Phillip and 1 sister Pat.
Edna is survived by her partner in life Russell Ernest (Ernie)Gaugler of Smithville OH. and his son Brian Gaugler; her 3 children Bill Tanner Jr., Robbin Carnell and Lisa Good and their significant spouses, (Michelle, Terry and Tim); and a brother Curtis Horn from AR.
Edna proudly has 9 wonderful grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Eddys infectious laughter and smile will truly be missed and cherished by all who knew and loved her.
It was her previous wish that there be no public services, and a private interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
