Edna E. Hostetler, 76, of 9280 Dickson Road, New Concord, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2025 at 8:20 am at her home following a losing battle with cancer.

She was born in Wayne County on June 25, 1949 to the late Eli J. and Lizzie L. (Miller) Hershberger and married Reuben Y. Hostetler on January 2, 1969. He died on May 21, 2010.

She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

She is survived by children, Naomi (Uriah) Hostetler of Apple Creek, Levi (Erma) Hostetler of Wooster, Uriah (Susie) Hostetler, Daniel (Maryann) Hostetler both of Perrysville, Lester (Clara) Hostetler of Candor, NY, and Lizzie (Elton) Hostetler of the home; 38 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Atlee (Ella) Hershberger, and Dan (Emma) Hershberger both of Apple Creek; a sister, Malinda (Jake J.) Shetler of Apple Creek; brothers-in-law, Eli Y. Hostetler, and Dan J. Miller of Apple Creek; sister-in-law, Emma L. Hostetler of Apple Creek.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jacob (Emma) Hershberger; 2 sisters, Ella (Eli Y.) Hostetler, Katie (Dan J.) Miller; a brother-in-law, Levi Y. (Emma) Hostetler; sister-in-law, Amanda (Eli Y.) Hostetler; a grandson, Andrew D. Hostetler.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 9:00 am at the Uriah S. Hostetler residence, 9489 E. Moreland Road, Apple Creek, with Bishop Roman A. Raber officiating. Burial will follow in Troyer Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at the Elton S. Hostetler residence, 9280 Dickson Road, New Concord, and on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at the Uriah S. Hostetler residence. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling arrangements.
