Edna Richmond Kirby

A celebration of life for Edna Richmond Kirby, Cushing, TX, formerly of Winnsboro, will be from 2:00PM until 4:00PM Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Young's Community Memorial Winnsboro.

Ms. Kirby was born October 7, 1933 in Winnsboro, LA and passed from this life on December 20, 2025, at her home in Cushing, TX at the age of 92. She enjoyed quilting in her earlier years, and playing dominoes, where she occasionally cheated, according to her family members and friends. She daily read her bible and she watched The Price Is Right on television. Edna was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Kirby; her son, Robert Lynn Temple; her father, Rodger Richmond; her mother, Hettie Hayes Richmond; her brothers, Julious, Robert, Ray, Huey, Meloy, and Pee-Wee Richmond; and her sisters, Lola Richmond Gill, O'Rell Richmond Blackwell, and Sally Richmond Everett.

Survivors include her children, Gracie Temple McMillan and husband, Randy of Keithville, Amy Temple Willhite and husband, Randy of Cushing, TX, and Darren Temple of Bossier City; also survived by eleven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
