EDNA PAULINE (WATSON) LEFTWICH SNYDER, 89 of
Delta, PA, passed away in the early morning hours on Sunday, March 9, 2025 in York, PA. She was the wife of Charles Snyder and had shared 35 years of marriage to the late Charles O. Leftwich who died in 1988,
Born on September 10, 1935 in Churchville, MD, she was a daughter of the late David C. Watson and Dorothy Edith (Haga) Watson. Pauline attended Highland School in Street, MD and then transferred to the newly built North Harford High School where in 1953; she was a member of the third graduating class. Working as a seamstress, Pauline had worked for the former Petti Frocks in Whiteford and the former Delta Sewing Factory. Very talented with a needle and thread, Pauline was always volunteering to sew anything for someone and stitched numerous patches on fire company uniforms.
Known for her delicious, beautiful cakes, Pauline was called upon for many years to create a special birthday cake or any occasion including making fire truck designs. All her cakes were from her own recipes and she had over 20 baking pans that she used for her creations. Active in her community, Pauline helped with the Pine Grove funeral luncheons, annual turkey suppers and with the American Legion Post #182 Ladies Auxiliary where she served as president for many years.
Pauline will be missed for her gentle spirit, sweet smile and kind words.

A grandson, Gregory D. Leftwich and his wife, Kahla
Two special great grandchildren-Makensie and Ryker
Stepson-Mark Snyder and children: Collin, Brody and Aubree
A step grandson, Bryan Isaacs and his wife, Brittany
Numerous loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Pauline was preceded in death by her siblings: Helen Lanus, David C. Watson, Jr; Paul Watson, Howard Dale Watson.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Norrisville Volunteer Company Firehouse, 2134 Norrisville Rd., Pylesville, MD 21132.
Her dear friend, Reverend James B. Shuler will officiate.
Her family will greet guests following the service during a time of reflection and refreshments.
