Edna Lloyd Obituary
Edna Lloyd, age 75, passed away Thursday January 26, 2023, at Grand Strand Reginal Medical
Center with her family by her side.
Edna was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved her family very much and they
were very important to her. She never met a stranger, and she was always sweet and sassy. She
was a hard worker and never sat still. Edna enjoyed walking on the beach especially Huntington
Beach State Park. She enjoyed Monday coffee club with her friends.
She is pre-deceased by her grandson Joshua Poole, brothers Andrew Spencer Jr, Dallas
Floyd, Bernard Floyd and sister Mary Floyd.
Edna is survived by her husband and best friend of 46 years Mike, Sons John Poole and his wife
Stephanie of Palm Coast, Fla; James Poole and his wife Michelle of Lorton, VA; grandchildren
Julia Poole, Johnathan and Amanda O'ferrell; sister Nellie Payne of Shady Valley, Tenn; brother
Melvin Spenser of Richmond, VA; several nieces and nephews. She was loved by all and will be
missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday February 1, 2023, at
Goldfinch Funeral Home Beach Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the
service at the Funeral Home.
In leu of flowers, you may make donations in Edna's name to your favorite charity
Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Edna was my Best friend. We worked together for many years and remained Best friends even after she retired and moved to South Carolina. I can not express how much I will miss her. To know her was to love her as she was such a caring person.
I send condolences to her family from me, my son and daughters .

Edna was my best friend. We worked together for many years and remained best friends even after she retired and she and Mike moved to South Carolina. One year we even bought each other the same crystal bowl for Christmas and we laughed because we couldn't believe we'd done that. That's just how much we knew each others likes and dislikes. I can not express how much I will miss my best friend. When I received a voice mail message from Mike asking that I call him, I hesitated to return his call only because I knew it was in reference to Edna and I didn't want to hear it. My son and daughters will miss Edna because she was such a nice and caring person. Our condolences to her family as we know she will be greatly missed.
