Edna Mary "Kitty" Marsh, 89, entered into the presence of Jesus, while sleeping, the morning of December 29, 2025, following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the much loved Mother, Mother-In-Law, Daughter, Sister, Sister-In-Law, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother and Aunt. She was born in
Sunbury, Ohio, on June 4, 1936, to the late Herbert D. Kempton and Mildred B. (Henderson) Kempton.
Early in Kitty's life, the family relocated to Green Camp, Ohio, where she graduated. There, she met her soulmate and high school sweetheart, Gene A. Marsh. They were married on August 14, 1955, in Kokomo, Indiana, and enjoyed 55 years together.
After raising her children, Kitty worked at the American Red Cross in various roles as well as working at Bev's Boutique in Crawbaugh Hardware. In addition, she volunteered many years at OhioHealth Hospital, Marion, being awarded for serving over 9,000 hours. She and Gene enjoyed many trips to Myrtle Beach and various work-related trip out west. She served many roles while attending the Green Camp Baptist Church, for over 50 years.
Kitty is survived by sons, Jeff Marsh and Greg Marsh of
Marion, Ohio and daughter, Jennifer (Scott Buckley) Marsh of Green Camp, Ohio, Grandchildren: Nikki Marsh, Zachary Marsh, Bo (Brooke) Guider, Chase Guider, Payton (Dakota) Kelson, and Justin (Ashley) Marsh, Great-Grandchildren: Porter Shane, Zachary (Sadie) Davie, Elizabeth Davie, Cole Guider, Kane Guider, Kai Guider, Analeigh Kelson, Bexley Marsh, Greylynn Marsh, Kendra Reinwald and Kamey Reinwald, Great, Great Grandchildren Elosie Davie and Addison Davie, and Special Friend, Larry Knapp. She was preceded in death by Gene Marsh, Mary Marsh, Kelly Marsh, parents and siblings Eleanor Jeffers and Donald Kempton.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Meadows along Adam Ralph and his staff at Tranquility Hospice for their love and care of Kitty during her brief residence there.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Central Baptist Church Youth Group.
Visitation for the family will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Central Baptist Church, 2816 Marion-Waldo Road,
Marion, Ohio. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 10:30 AM, also at Central Baptist Church. Services will be conducted by Dr. Ryan Strother and Pastor Josh Freshour. Burial will be in Green Camp Cemetery.
