Ryan Goddard Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel on Feb. 7, 2026.
Ryan Ray Goddard, 40 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Ryan was born on October 8, 1985 in Marion to Rita (Rush) Daly and Randy Lee Goddard. He attended Ridgedale High School and Tri-Rivers Career Center where he studied diesel mechanics and construction trades. Ryan enjoyed working with his hands and was just as talented and knowledgeable with a wrench as he was with a hammer or a paint brush, having proven himself as a skilled drywall hanger, painter and all-around remodeler and handyman while working with his step-dad, Rodney Daly. After many years in the building trades, Ryan went to work for Sims Bros. Recycling as a skilled crane operator.

Ryan was an avid outdoorsman, having spent many weekends down by the river casting a line or watching for the next big buck. Although he enjoyed the peaceful quiet of the woods or the stream, Ryan very much enjoyed sharing this time with his friends and family. Ryan also earned his ATA Bow Technician Certification through PSE Archery. Bow hunting wasn't just a hobby – it was a passion.

Ryan also enjoyed the thrill of motocross racing. He was known for crashing, but more importantly, getting back up and finishing race with more than a few wins. Although an injury kept him off of his own bike, his heart was still in the race, going from competitor to coach and cheering on his nephews and cousins.

Above all, Ryan loved God and his family and will be remembered for his hard work ethic and warm kindness. Ryan fought the good fight, he finished the race, and he kept the faith.

Ryan will be dearly missed by his children, Conner Ray Goddard and Briar; his parents, Rita (Rodney) Daly and Randy (Robin) Goddard; his siblings, Tommy Goddard Sr, Stormy Ray Goddard, Randy Beireis, Rodney Beireis, Kelly Stevens, and Elizabeth Campbell Davis; his grandmother, Janis Rush; his special nephew, Tommy Goddard Jr; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Ryan is reunited in Heaven with his grandparents, Charles & Mary Goddard and Bill Rush.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 2:00 PM until the time of his Funeral Service at 6:00 PM at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel, 360 E. Center Street, Marion, Ohio. Private burial will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Big Island, Ohio at a later date.
