Edna E. Pillsbury-Stark
September 29, 1932 – September 14, 2024
Edna E. Stark (91) beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024 at the age of 91 after ending her battle with End Stage Renal Disease. Edna was born on September 29, 1932, in Medford Wisconsin as one of eighteen siblings with two siblings surviving her: Juanita Shoenbeck (Bill), and Albert Pillsbury (Alice). Edna lived a life full of love and dedication to her family.
In 1956, Edna married the love of her life, Kenneth Robert Stark Sr. Together they raised four wonderful children: Kenneth Stark, Jr. (Mary), Donald Stark (Paula), Rosemary Stark-Andersen, and Karen Kaja (Brian). Edna's family continued to grow, and she became the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren: Nichole Stark- Hrabik (Kirk), Tierney Stark (Josh), Amber Stark (Alex), Chloe Stotler (Jasper), Nick Andersen (Becky), Erin Roewer (Matthew), Brittany Hawkins (Jared), and Bradley Kaja. Her love extended even further to her five great grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and happiness.
In earlier years, Edna earned her living as a cleaning professional with Waukesha County for many years until she retired in 1996 to take care of her husband at his end of life. Edna truly enjoyed helping anyone she could including having open doors to her home for any child that needed extra love and support. Edna was a foster parent for many years and cared for many children who needed a place to call home, some of which had disabilities. There was always plenty of room and love to bring another child into her home. She was also a dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church in
Waukesha, Wisconsin for over 50 years. She was also a Sunday school teacher for many years at the church. Edna was also the proud author of her two published books: "A Place Called Home - A Home for Peter" followed by "A Father's Love".
Edna's legacy is one of warmth, kindness and unwavering love for her friends and family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 29th at the FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH at 121 Wisconsin Ave, Waukesha WI. Visitation will be held from 1:30 – 3:30 PM with service following at 3:30 P.M. Edna will be placed in her final resting place the following day, Monday, September 30th at 10:00 A.M at St. Joseph's Cemetery at S22W22890 E. Broadway,
Waukesha, WI.
