It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Edna Mae Thomas (Bernesser), who departed this life on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the age of 98. Her passing leaves a void that can never truly be filled, but her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Edna Mae was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Thomas; her parents, Raymond and Edna Bernesser; and her four brothers.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Sandra (Carl Thomas); her grandson Mark Bennardo (Jennifer); her stepdaughters Susan Viviano and Nancy Imperatore; her sisters Jean Harkiewicz and Patty Ruby; her brother Donald Bernesser (Marilyn); as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

Edna Mae spent many dedicated years working at Joseph Horne's (Macy's) before retiring. In her retirement, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life-especially mowing her lawn, getting her hair done and caring for her three beloved cats.

Though Edna Mae is no longer with us, the love she shared and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
