Mark Simmer Obituary
He was born Sept. 23, 1958, in Butler, the son of the late Arthur Simmer and Margaret Ellen (Kranz) Ion.
Mark worked at Rite Aid and Dollar General on Main Street in Butler. He enjoyed karaoke, listening to music and spending time with his family. He also loved his dog, Oreo.
Surviving are his daughter, Melissa Ann (Michael) Davis, of Butler; his son, Michael Allan Simmer; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maureen (Matthew) Davis and Marcia (Scott) Marshall, both of Butler; and his former wives, Lisa and Cheryl.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kadell Schnur; and his brother, Arthur V. Simmer.
SIMMER - Military honors for Mark Allan Simmer, who died Sunday, March 8, 2026, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
