Edna Fay Walker, 90, of Mount Hope, Alabama passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, at her residence. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 04, 2025, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Coffey officiating. Burial will be at Moulton Memory Gardens.


Born on January 31, 1934, to Alfred and Lillie Langley Askenburg Sr.. Edna loved to plant flowers in her garden, crafting, and spending time with her children and her grandchildren.


Survivors include her children, Elizabeth (Kenneth Bryant) Walker, Linda (Glenn) Peebles, John W. (Lorie) Walker Jr., Mike (Laura) Walker, and Greg Walker; grandchildren, Rodney (Shonda) Peebles, Tessa (Jim) Peebles Hill, Johanna Hamel Pierce, Tonya Pierce, Jamie (Christy) Pierce, Kelanda Bryant, Trey Walker (Chelsea)

,Stephanie (Phillip) Evans, Jesse Bradford, Lillee Taylor, Michael (Regan) Walker, Ashley Walker, and Leland (Kaylee) Walker; twenty-one great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.


Edna was preceded in death by her husband, John Walker; daughter, Brenda Taylor; parents, Alfred and Lillie Askenburg; two brothers, Alfred Askenburg Jr. and Don Askenburg; two sisters, Rosa A. McCutheon and Barbara A. Schooley.


Pallbearers will be Rodney Peebles, Jamie Pierce, Trey Walker, Jesse Bradford, Michael Walker, and Leland Walker.


Honorary Pallbearers will be great-grandsons.


The family extends special thanks to Southern Care Hospice, Sara Huff, Mamie, and Kim Pace.
