EDNA MARIE WOLFE

Edna Marie Wolfe, age 93, of Oriskany VA, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025. Born on June 22, 1932, she was the beloved daughter of the late Paris and Pearl Craft. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Raymond Wolfe, stepchildren Linda Childers and Gary Wolfe and by her siblings Lloyd Craft, Arthur Craft, Edith Radford, Ruby Harlow, and Ruth Craft. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Elizabeth M. Gills (Dave Snider); and son, Charles Arnold Wolfe (Judy); stepdaughter, Brenda Rhoten. Edna's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Charles Dudding (Chrissy), Joyce Ashley (Michael), April Loyd (Billy), Regina Scruggs (Paul), and Melissa Hall (Kevin). She also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchildren: Courtney Ashley, Keiley Dudding, Hunter Ashley (Nicole), Aiden Jones-Thomas, Noah Thomas, Nori Loyd, Kolten Hogan and Taylor Worsham (Dylan). 2 years ago the family welcomed her first Great great grandchild Riley Worsham. Despite her petite stature, Edna was a force to be reckoned with-strong-willed, determined, and fiercely independent. She had an unwavering faith in God and a deep love for her family. Her hands were rarely still, whether they were tending to her garden, preparing a delicious home-cooked meal, or flipping through sales racks on a good shopping trip. She found joy in the simple things and made everyone around her feel cared for and well-fed. Her laughter, resilience, and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A graveside will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Kings Memorial Cemetery in Oriskany, VA, with Pastor Russ Merrit officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Promptly following the visitation we will process to the cemetery Friends may visit with the family from 2 - 3 p.m. at Paitsel Funeral Home in New Castle, following the visitation the procession will promptly proceed to Kings Memorial Cemetery in Oriskany to begin the graveside service with Pastor Russ Merrit officiating. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those who went before her and remembered by the many lives she touched.
