Eduardo “Eddie” Ramirez, 68, died Saturday, November 9, 2024, in Pharr.
Eddie was a proud graduate of PSJA High School Class of 1975, he began his lifelong passion of photography when he was a photographer for the Bears Tale. He Attended Pan American University and was a member of the Intercollegiate Knights (IK) Fraternity. Eddie was a lifelong scout, he dedicated 59 years to the scouting program, starting as a Webelo and receiving his Eagle rank in 1974 and was currently the Cubscout master for troop 83 in Mission, Tx.
Our Dad was known as a compassionate, loving, caring, generous man, something he made sure to instill in us as well as everyone.
Mr. Ramirez is survived by his wife, Blanca Estella Ramirez; two daughters, Cecilia Ramirez (Julio) De Leon, Anna Ramirez (Jose Angel IV) Ortiz; two grandchildren, Kayleen De Leon, Nathanael De Leon; one sister, Sandra (Ernesto) Salinas; four brothers, Mario Ramirez, Oscar (Aida) Ramirez, Joel (Linda) Ramirez, and Sergio Ramirez; and numerous nieces and nephews
He is Preceded in death by his parents, Elva T. Ramirez and Jose Ramirez; two nephews, Oscar Ramirez, Jr., and Diego Lorenzo Ramirez.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
