Edward Stephen Andrejko, long time resident of Burnt Hills, New York, and more recently of Media, Pennsylvania, was a person with many friends, passions, and stories to tell. He passed away peacefully at home on October 24, 2025, but his stories and words of wisdom will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. Ed was born on May 28, 1936 to Anna (Kulek) and Emory Andrejko in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania. He attended Penn State in Wilkes-Barre and received his associate's degree, then went on to graduate with a degree in electrical engineering from Drexel University while working for General Electric in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. In 1959 he married the love of his life, Gloria Lokuta. They had three children together, William, Lorraine, and Anne. In 1968 Ed and his family relocated to Burnt Hills, New York while he continued to work for G.E. at the nearby Schenectady complex in the large steam turbines department. Throughout his career, Ed demonstrated dedication, exactitude, and drive, principle's that carried over into his personal life. Ed loved the outdoors, and taught his children and grandchildren to respect nature. Fly fishing, boating, hiking, berry picking and swimming in Lake George filled his time in retirement. He was a proud member of Trout Unlimited, an organization dedicated to caring for our rivers and streams and the creatures that inhabit them. He was happiest while fly-fishing in a stream with his buddies, whether it was on the Battenkill River in Vermont or the Yellowstone River in Montana. Ed was a man of faith, dedicating time and service with the Knights of Columbus and at Immaculate Conception Church in Glenville, New York. Most recently, he rekindled his love of chess by finding willing friends to play the game at his residence in Rose Tree Place in Media. Ed is survived by his loving wife, Gloria; his sister, Mary Ann Novitsky; his children, William Andrejko, Lorraine Isaac, Anne Andrejko; and his grandchildren, Rachel Isaac, Harrison Isaac, Lucy Shea, and Margot Shea. Relatives and Friends may call Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 10:30-11 am in Nativity BVM Church 30 E. Franklin St. Media, Pa. Mass at 11 AM, interment private. Contributions in lieu of flowers to Catholic Relief Services, www.crs.org, or Trout Unlimited, patrout.org are appreciated.
