Edward Bevins

Edward Bevins, 90, of Pageton, WV, passed Sunday, March 2, 2025, at McDowell Healthcare Center in Gary, WV. 

Born July 31, 1934, in Keystone, WV, he was a son of the late Alvin and Ida Fulton Bevins. Edward had been a resident of Pageton for over 60 years. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. Edward was also a proud United States Veteran, serving in the US Marine Corps. He was of the Church of God faith. 

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Jane Bevins, who passed only 12 days prior; brothers, Lewis, Charlie, Junior, and Roby Bevins; and sister, Nellie Davidson. 

Those left to cherish Edward's memory are his son, Michael Bevins and wife Lorrie of Skygusty, WV; grandchildren, Maria Bevins and significant other Shawn Stewart of Summersville, WV, Michael Bevins, Jr., and wife Sara of Skygusty, WV, and Courtney Stepp and husband Matt Watkins of Crumpler, WV; great grandchildren, Gage Geisbert, Tanner and Chase Stewart, Amiah, Journey, and Noah Bevins, Aaron "AJ" Stepp, and Nevaeh and Noah Watkins. 

Funeral services will be held, Friday, March 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nick Marrs officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with family serving as pallbearers. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
