RICKY LEE BEVINS, 58, of Upper Elk Creek, VA, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Pikeville Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Harold Glen Bevins Sr. and Dora Rose (Rife) Bevins. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of the Stopover Freewill Baptist Church. He was a loving brother, uncle and was a retired heavy equipment operator. He loved riding his side by side, spending time with Mattie his little dog, going to church, spending time with his family and his church family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Randall Glen Bevins.

Those left to cherish his memory include 2-brothers: Harold (Dana) Bevins Jr., Upper Elk Creek, VA, Scotty Ray (Tonya) Bevins, Upper Elk Creek, VA; 1-sister: Crystal (D.J.) Cline, Upper Elk Creek, VA; nieces and nephews: Darren Bevins, Alisha Wolford, Cody Bevins, Autumn Sullivan, Hunter Bevins, Ryder Bevins, Randall Stacy, Colton Cline; great nephews who were his closest friends: Dillon Wolford, Alex Wolford, Nich Wolford; great nieces and nephews: Dalton Bevins, Layken Bevins, Ian Bevins, Kannon Bevins, Cloey Bevins, Paisley Bevins, Harleigh Rose Bevins, Wylden Sullivan, Knox Sullivan, Brynlee Stacy, Colson Stacy.

Visitation will be Sunday evening at Stopover Freewill Baptist Church at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral Services for RICKY LEE BEVINS will be conducted Monday, March 9, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the Stopover Freewill Baptist Church with Larry Rife, C.J. Stacy, Roger Hurley and Odis Blankenship officiating. Burial to follow in the Rife Cemetery on Upper Elk Creek, Hurley, VA.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be nephews.
