Elsie Marie Mounts

ELSIE MARIE (SPENCER) MOUNTS 86, of Hurley, VA, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Born in Hurley, VA, she was the daughter of the late Elmar and Lydia (May) Spencer. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was the oldest member of the Sulphur Springs Church attending for over 65 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and was a wonderful homemaker. She liked going to church, family get together, and loved playing with the grandkids.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband Lawrance Jackson, 2nd husband Druey Mounts; 3-children: Diane Jackson, Larry Mounts, Randy Jackson; 1-sister: Alphie Jackson; son-in-law: Jeff Allen.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter: Becky Allen; grandchildren: Joe, Larry Ray, Matt, Tosha, Shawn, Mike; great grandchildren: June, Seth, Larry, Dillion, Oceana, Madison, Jack, Orion.

Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M. at the Sulphur Springs Church on Paw Paw, VA.

Funeral Services for ELSIE MARIE (SPENCER) MOUNTS will be conducted Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the Sulphur Springs Church on Paw Paw with Tim Slone and Biran Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the May Cemetery on May Branch, Hurley, VA.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
