Robert D. Mounts

CHAMPION – Robert D. Mounts, age 75, entered into eternal rest Monday, February 23, 2026 at St. Joseph Health Center. He was born March 17, 1950 in Williamson, West Virginia, the son of Walter E. and Josephine (Ball) Mounts.

Bob served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he played in the Marine Corps band, and he retired from General Motors-Lordstown. He fulfilled a lifelong dream by attending Youngstown State University and earning his bachelor's degree, all while working full-time. He played the baritone and was quite good on the guitar, and he enjoyed classic cars, chatting with friends, and listening to music.

Precious memories of Bob live on with his son, Martin Mounts (Tawnie) of Howland; his daughter, Melinda Bass of Howland; three grandsons: Dallas, Ethan, and Kyle; one sister, Gloria Hensley of Pinsonfork, Kentucky; one brother, Larry J. Mounts (Shirley) of Hardy, Kentucky; and many other friends and family who love him and think of him fondly.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his beloved wife of forty-five years, Georgia Ann (Brown) Mounts, who passed August 19, 2025; and his brother, Ronald Mounts.

Calling hours are 2:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11:00 am Monday. Full military honors will be conferred. All who know and love Bob are welcome to attend and celebrate his good life.

Interment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park.
