Eric Norwell Lancake

HOWLAND – Eric Norwell Lancake, age 79, entered into eternal rest Monday, February 23, 2026 at home, after having struggled with illness for many years. He was born April l9, 1946 in Manchester, England, the son of Eric and Hilda (Scott) Lancake.

Eric worked in a physics laboratory at a university in England. He moved to the U.S. in 2008 after retiring and later became a U.S. citizen. He enjoyed soccer and used to follow the Howland soccer team. He played in a band during the "British Invasion" of the 1960s and was an accomplished woodworker.

Precious memories of Eric live on with his beloved wife of nearly eighteen years, Denise Marie (Johnson) Lancake, whom he married July 20, 2008; and two stepsons, Steven Hermann (Kathy) of Annapolis, Maryland and Michael Hermann (Michelle Norr) of Millersville, Maryland.

His parents precede him in death.
