Charles Edward Looney

CHARLES EDWARD LOONEY, 61, of Grundy, VA, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026, at his home following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of Helen (Stiltner) Looney of Grundy, VA, and the late Jessie Looney. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Grundy Bible Church. He was a loving husband, brother, son and a disabled coal miner. Charles enjoyed playing music and singing for the Lord.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Melissa (Stiltner) Looney; siblings, Virginia Nell "Ginny" Looney, James Daniel Looney and Susan Carol McClanahan.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Helen (Stiltner) Looney of Grundy, VA; Brother: Corbett Looney; Sisters: Phyllis (Tim) Charlton, Roberta (Greg) Ramey, Ruby (Robbie) Collier; Special Niece: Jessica Deel and Special Friend: Tommy Stiltner.

Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services for CHARLES EDWARD LOONEY will be conducted Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at the Grundy Bible Church with Greg Ramey officiating.
