William Hall Looney

William Hall Looney, 56, of Lowell died Friday, February 20, 2026 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born on November 30, 1969 in Fort Smith, Arkansas the son of Pat and Joseph Looney II.
William was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan. Whether watching the game, wearing Razorback red, or calling the Hogs with family and friends, William was an enthusiastic and loyal fan through every season! William also found happiness in the outdoors. As a deer hunter, William cherished early mornings in the woods, the quiet of nature and the joy of sharing hunting stories with all who would listen.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force as a member of the Security Forces, where William demonstrated unwavering commitment, discipline, and integrity while protecting fellow service members and vital resources. William's time in the Air Force was a source of great pride to him and loved to share stories of this time.
William also took great pride in being a devoted and loving husband to Michelle and also in being a dedicated 'dog dad.' He adored his four-legged companions (Molly, Lincoln and Lucy), who were constant sources of joy, comfort and companionship.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Bill and Etta Griffis and Jack and Mary Looney; and three aunts.
William is survived by his wife, Michelle Looney of Lowell; son, Blake Stogdill of Huron, South Dakota; parents, Pat and Joseph Looney II of Texas; brother, Joe Looney III and his wife Khris of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; sister, Marietta Raney and her husband Harold of De Kalb, Texas; niece, Bret Beavers; nephews, Steven Beavers, Zane Looney and Elijah Looney; great niece, Emery Beavers; uncle, Rodney Griffis; aunt, Billie Clark; mother-in-law, Karen Moore; sister-in-law, Amy Moore; cousins, Tony Johnon, Chris Ritchie, Larry and Artie Talley, April Griffis, Jack and Charlotte Roszelle; and a host of loving family and friends.
Per his request, William will be placed at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Committal service for William will be Friday, February 27th at 1:30pm at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
