James Curtis Gregory "Pop", age 75, of Lowell, Arkansas died Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at his residence. He was born May 4, 1950 in Bentonville, Arkansas the son of Velma Cathrine Claypool and Clyde Gregory.
He enjoyed fishing, spending quality time with his family especially time with his grandchildren. He loved listening to George Jones. He enjoyed watching True Crimes on TV. He loved to laugh. He loved telling old stories about his childhood and working on cars.
He was preceded in death by: his beloved wife of 50 years; Judy Gregory in October 2025, his parents, and his siblings; Jack Gregory, Charles Gregory, Willis Gregory, Donnie Gregory, Cathrine Gregory.
James is survived by: two sons; Shane Gregory and his wife Sheena, of Bentonville, Curt Gregory, of Lowell, one brother; John Gregory and his wife Donna, of Centerton, four sisters; Sue Tabor and her husband Tommy, of Oklahoma, Jeannie Dold, of Lowell, Carol Armstrong, of California, Darlene Gregory, of California, his six grandchildren; Daigan Gregory, of Lowell, Dakota Gregory, of Cane Hill, Issiah Ball, Spencer Ball, Kyler Harris, Hallie Honsinger, and one great-granddaughter; Ollifaye Gregory.
Special thanks to Danielle Sweeter, and her three daughters; Brynn, Malia, and Gemma Newell for taking care and loving Pop as their own.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 10-11am at First Baptist Bentonville with his celebration of life beginning at 11am. A graveside service will be at 2pm on Thursday at Cane Hill Cemetery located in Cane Hill.
