Edward Albert Bishop Jr January 22nd, 1926 - May 13th, 2023 Edward a bishop jr, 97 Big River california, died peacefully on May 13th, 2023 at his home. He was born January 22nd, 1926 in Chicago illinois, the son of the late Edward Albert senior and Lillian knack Bishop. He was married to the late Norma j. Puckett on August 1st 1953 and she died July 12th 2013. Edward was a chef in the Navy during the 1951 Asian Pacific conflict. In 1953 he was a semen radar operator on the destroyer USS Mansfield ship during the Korean war. Edward work 33 years at the Pacific valve in signal Hill, California has a quality controlled inspector. Edward was an excellent mechanic, loved woodworking and taking care of his dogs. He was an avid reader and was passionate about Lewis lemoore cowboy books. Edward and his late wife Norma retired to the desert the past 40 years. Edward loves his family and cherish the visits he had from his family from Wisconsin. He was the family historian as he kept in contact over the years on monthly phone calls to talk to his family members. Survivors son Scott Bishop his full-time caregiver and Dad's final years Scott took care of dad even in his blindness, the next year, and Alzheimer's. Also daughter melissa, and six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren surviving sisters are Rita and Anne of Wausau Wisconsin preceded in death by his son Jeffrey and his four Brothers Paul Robert John and thomas, and his six sisters Maria Francis Laura Alice Margaret and Patricia. Dad loves his desert dad was grateful he had someone to take care of him and his last 10 years. Dad will be missed by all.
