Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cargain Funeral Homes Inc. - Mahopac on Dec. 12, 2025.
Edward L. Carrozza, a man of remarkable kindness and generosity, passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on February 10, 1939, to the late Adolph and Louise (Lamb) Carrozza, Edward's life was one of dedication to his family, his work, and the community he loved.
Edward, often referred to as a true craftsman, spent his professional years as a respected carpenter with Local 279 in
Rock Tavern, NY. His skillful hands and creative mind left a lasting legacy in the homes and hearts of those who were fortunate enough to witness his work. Edward's commitment to his craft was paralleled by his involvement with the Carpenter's Club, where he served with distinction as President, guiding and mentoring fellow carpenters with the same passion and patience that he applied to his woodworking.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Edward was a sports fanatic with a deep love for baseball. His enthusiasm for the game was infectious, and he could often be found sharing his knowledge of the sport with anyone who shared his interest. Edward's love for the game was more than just a pastime; it was a way for him to connect with friends, family, and the community.
Edward will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Christina (Chester), who will forever cherish the memories of her father's unwavering support and the kind wisdom he imparted. His siblings, Arnold, Carmela, Louie, Gino, and Linda, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond, predeceased him, as did his loving wife, Kathleen, who was his partner in every aspect of life. Together, they built a foundation of love and support that extended to every corner of their world.
His adoring grandchildren, Nicole, Ashley, and Jason, will hold dear the moments spent with their grandfather, whose generous spirit and kind demeanor shaped their lives in countless ways. Edward's legacy will live on through the lessons he taught, the stories he told, and the love he gave.
Edward's life was one of giving-giving time, giving love and giving himself to the people and projects he cared about. Those who knew him will remember a man who was always ready to lend a hand, offer a kind word and extend his generosity without hesitation. His presence in our lives was a gift, one that will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
As we bid farewell to Edward L. Carrozza, we celebrate a life well lived-a life filled with love, craftsmanship and a genuine kindness that touched the hearts of all who knew him. Though he has left this earthly realm, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us every day.
