Edward Carter, beloved son, father, cherished friend, and respected professional, passed away on December 17, 2025, at the age of 58 in Dulles, Virginia. Born on November 29, 1967, in Washington, D.C., Edward’s presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Edward's commitment to his work was evident in his seven years spent as an Electronic Technician at Northrop Grumman. He took pride in his role, demonstrating a steadfast dedication to his craft and a passion for innovation that inspired those around him.
He took immense pride in his work, driven by a passion for electronics that began with his education at TESST College of Technology, where he earned his certificate in Electronic Field Services and Electronic Repair in 1992. Those fortunate enough to call him a colleague admired not only his technical skills but also his kind nature and willingness to lend a helping hand.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Edward was known for his unique sense of style, often seen with his matching Tims and sweatshirts that reflected his personal flair. He kept a low profile until he became familiar with those around him, at which point his warmth and kindness would truly shine. Friends recalled his gentle spirit and the thoughtful gestures he would extend, always making an effort to facilitate happiness in the lives of others.
In his leisure time, Edward found joy in exploring the great outdoors. He loved taking hikes and discovering new places throughout the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. A lover of the arts, Edward often enjoyed visiting the movies and shows, recalling with warmth the joy he felt attending performances like The Nutcracker last year. He had an adventurous side, often engaging in the thrill of playing the lottery.
Edward's most treasured moments were spent in the company of his loved ones. He shared a special bond with his girlfriend of 12 years, Christine Wood, and enjoyed creating lasting memories with her and his best friend Sam.
He is also survived by his mother, Gwen Carter, his father, Edward Carter, his three sons, Antonio, Isaiah, and Odea and his brothers, Matsuda and Otis.
As we remember Edward Carter, we celebrate a life characterized by kindness, a passion for discovery, and loving relationships. His spirit will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
